Flat-pack furniture, a new grill, lumber from the home store, a riding mower from a private seller.

"I'm only moving a few rooms."

A studio or one-bedroom apartment, a dorm room, or moving in with someone who already has the furniture.

"It has to go to storage."

House to storage unit, storage unit to the new place, or one unit to a cheaper one.

"I won it at an auction."

Estate sale and auction pickups, usually with a short window to get it off the property.

"Grandma wants the kids to have the dresser."

How hauling is priced

Two things set the price: how much of the trailer your items take up, and how far they're going. A single chair across town and a one-bedroom apartment going to the next county are very different jobs, and the price reflects that.

There's no separate trip fee.

Blankets or wrap for anything fragile We do NOT supply moving blankets.
A clear spot at the drop-off so the items can go straight in

What this isn't: Peaks is one truck, one 14-foot trailer and one owner doing the work. That's perfect for a few rooms or a single big item. For a full three- or four-bedroom house, a moving company with a box truck and a crew is the better call — and we'll tell you so. We won't move, pianos, gun safes, pool tables.
